I'm not a medical professional, but have a long history of depression and migraines. According to my neurologist, although low doses of Prozac may prevent migraines, higher doses may cause them. I used Imitrex nasal spray, which worked well, but because I was having 2-4 intense migraines weekly, I did some extensive research on the 'net and discovered something better. Now to prevent migraines, I take 300mg vitamin B-2 (riboflavin) in the morning and at night. I've only had one or two migraines in the last four months. Apparently it works, the migraines I did experience ocurred when I ran out of B-2 and couldn't replace it right away. I don't have the reference available, but I think it was on the Mayo Clinic website, or possibly Johns Hopkins (both have migraine info.) I don't know if it will help your paper, but I hope it will help you!
