Different foods for different moods?

Posted by Mike on December 8, 1998, at 1:01:54

For my own edification I'm trying to research the answers to some
questions I have about my own reactions to certain foods and drugs. A
cup of coffee often tends to make me drowsy, whereas alcohol seems to
keep me awake forever! Is there a general description for this
phenomenon? I have also noticed that some foods have a very noticeable
affect on me. A single tuna fish sandwich is guaranteed to have me
drowsy or sleeping in just minutes! What is especially disconcerting is
that my mood often seems to parallel my reaction to the food. Is it a
case of "you are what you eat?" (Only opposite!) Thanks.
